Sunday afternoon and we are on the way to see Hadders.  She is definitely worth stopping work a little early.  Here she is showing Papa how to work a screwdriver.

Removed the ugly 1970's medicine cabinet from the small bathroom.  Very scary things behind there.  Brad is working on repairing the sheetrock around the windows.  Although the windows are fairly new, the sheetrock was not repaired properly when the windows were installed.

Saturday at the Emmett car show with the brothers.  Not working at the rental this morning but having lots of fun.

Our friend, Dan, continued with the yard clean up while we were out playing...what a trooper.  He cleaned up the bushes over by the old fence and took the old fence down.  All of this in 100° heat.

Brad and our friend, Steve, installing the laminate floor in the laundry room.  Can you tell it is hot inside the house?  The days have been well over 100° and the house is not much cooler.

Last night Brad painted the living room ceiling while I continued to paint the inside of the closets with oil based primer.

 DeNovo Door

 Nokona Door
 Plaza Door
Parkway Door

Here is some fun with Photoshop.  We are looking for a mid century modern door to match the style of the house.  Unfortunately they are very expensive.  It is fun to see what they would look like though.
Here is our friend, Dan, mowing the back yard.  It was 105° outside...what a trooper.  He also wrestled with the raspberry bushes and trimmed some very overgrown bushes.

Steve came over and installed the bathroom fan.  He was up on the roof while the heat lightening was going off all around him.

Brad and I spent the entire day applying oil based primer to the interior walls.  Doing the insides of the closets was the worst.
Avery showed up on Saturday to help us paint.  Here she is applying oil based primer to one of the bedrooms.  Thanks for the help A!
Brad gives Avery a lesson in drywall repair.

Today Brad and his friend Dan are power raking the yard.  No pictures because I am at work today (sob).  They are also going to use a stump grinder at one of the duplexes to finally get rid of the weed tree...Yay!
We had a great Independence Day.  We were able to spend time with my mother, my sister, and my son.  Seth helped work on the house.  He learned how to do drywall repair and clean windows.  I spent the afternoon pruning more overgrown bushes.  This time I had to use a sawzall on the lilac bush because the dead branches were 2" thick.

Levi and Hadley came over for lunch.  She is so much fun.

After working at the house all day, we went to Chris and Avery's house for a bbq.  All the neighbors bbq'd in their front yards and shared their fireworks in the street.  It was a lot of fun.  They even shared their food with us...yum!

It has been awhile since our last post.  After vacationing in California, we had a friend reunion in Garden Valley to keep us busy.  Here we are back at work.  Brad was powerwashing the house and I got crazy with pruning the rose bushes.  You can see the one in back had not been attacked by me yet.
